PRACTICAL

Pre-Activity Preparation

Students will pair up and get a iPad for each pairs. 


Practical Activity 1 (Successful Rally) - 10 minutes

Each pair will be allocated half a badminton court to engage in a singles game. Start rallying by using any serve and maintain it as long as u can.


Practical Activity 2 (Overhead Rally) - 10 minutes

Keep a rally going as long as possible using only over head shots:

Conditions
- Score 1 point if shuttle hits floor on opponent’s side of court at any point of time during the game
- Serve using any method you are comfortable with


Practical Activity 3 (Overhead Clear (forehand) rallying) - 10 minutes

Try and force your opponent to the back of the court by using powerful overhead clear (forehand) shots:


Practical Activity 4 (Peer Evaluation)

1. Work with groups of 4 and allocate an alphabet (A, B, C or D) to each member. 
2. A & B will perform the rally.
3. C will record the rally using the iPad.
4. D will assess using the check-list provided below.
5. Rotate amongst yourselves until all 4 members are evaluated.
6. Review your video and rectify the mistakes that were observed during the rally.
