Overview of today's lesson
Part 1: Theory and collaboration
For today's lesson, we will be watching a few videos. After which, we will be having an on-line collaboration, through which we will exchange our views and present it to the rest of the class via this Blog.
Part 2: Practical
And for the second part of the lesson, We will be heading down to the Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH) for some practical lesson.
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to describe the following points briefly during a verbal discussion:
1. It is harder for the opponent to attack from the back of the court because he/she would be further away from the net. Hence, it is best to send the opponent to the back of the court.
2. The overhead clear shot is best used to attack open spaces at the back of the court and to push the opponent to the back of the court.
3. The overhead shot is the best way to keep the shuttle in play.
Students should also be able to:
4. Maintain a rally with their partner with at least 10 shuttle exchanges within a half-singles court.
5. Execute at least 5 overhead clear shots while maintaining a rally with their partner in a half-single court.
6. Express the main learning points of the lesson in a 100- word reflection.
